Andrews, Bernstein & Maranto, PLLC would like to congratulate Ann Palmer who was recently awarded the 2016 Tourism Volunteer of the Year Award by Visit Buffalo Niagara!
This award celebrates the fact that Ann dedicates much of her time and efforts in the service to Buffalo’s architectural and historical treasures.
Ann Palmer is a legal assistant here at Andrews, Bernstein & Maranto, PLLC. In addition to her administrative work, she is also responsible for showcasing the history of the firm’s building at 420 Franklin Street. The 1877 mansion was formerly a residence of members of the influential Hamlin family at the end of the 19th century. Ann has compiled a photographic and written history of the home’s illustrious residents. The framed artwork in the reception area and conference room are a testament to the rich and varied past of this impressive French 2nd Empire mansion in the Allentown Historic District.
As a Board Secretary and Docent for Explore Buffalo, Ann Palmer has created new tours that show both visitors and local residents the hidden treasures of the city. Her ability to find interesting stories for any neighborhood or building while researching is extraordinary! Further, Ann also takes an active role in training other docents to learn the tours that she has created. Ann’s expertise and passion for the subject of these neighborhoods is contagious, and carries over to the docents she is training.
Ann is also very active in the leadership of Explore Buffalo as Board Secretary, and as a member of its Strategic Planning and Volunteer Committees, providing each with her insights and experiences. Ann is very much appreciated in all of the organizational work that she does for Explore Buffalo. Ann is highly deserving of recognition for her work to promote our local community.
